The meeting was called to order at 7pm followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 19 members present, including President Vito Montone, Vice President Al Auricchio, acting Treasurer Joe Stach and acting Secretary Bob Wiegand. Minutes: Bob Wiegand read the minutes for the October 12, 2010 meeting, and they were corrected to read that Joe Stach read the Treasurers report. Motion to accept the minutes was made by Ken Wenz, seconded by Andy Voulo and approved by those present. Treasurer’s Report: Joe Stach presented the Treasurer’s report for Oct. 2010, and a copy is on file. Motion to approve the report was made by Tom K. , seconded by Ken Wenz, and approved by those present. Committee Reports: Al Auricchio stepped up to take care of kitchen replenishments. Training: Ken Wenz reported that there was one member given the club orientation. Buildings: No report. Tools: Joe Nelson reported that he was looking into purchasing a new 12’ Slide saw for the shop, Bill Reinhardt stated that this tool was dangerous and that extensive training would have to be held before its use. A committee consisting of Bill Reinhardt, Ken Wenz and Joe Nelson will look into the safety and also review the purchase and report back to the membership. Joe asked Bill Reinhardt if he would return to the Tool Committee for next year and Bill accepted. Joe also asked the membership that when posting a request for tools or supplies on the bulletin board to please include your name in case questions or clarifications regarding the purchase should arise. Sickness & Distress: Tom K had received another procedure ( a stent ). Marie Fleishman has agreed to stay on as the Sunshine Committee Chairwoman. Social Scene: Al Auricchio reported the Holiday Party will be held at 12 Noon on December 1, 2010. He also asked for an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots program. It was also decided that we would also bring a canned good for the food pantry. Old Business: Vito reported that Matt Englert had finished his Eagle Scout Project and that the benches are beautiful and were placed at the playground by the softball field. He also noted that the Christmas toys were being completed and they would be ready by Dec. 12. In addition the plugs for the Golf Course yard markers were completed and given to Golf Maintenance. Vito informed the membership that a Major shop cleanup would be held on November 12, 2010 and asked for volunteers to help with it. Elections: The Nominating Committee presented its slate of officers to the membership and no other nominations were made from the floor, so acting Secretary Bob Wiegand cast one vote for approval of the Slate. The new Board is as follows: Ken Wenz – President, Al Auricchio – Vice President, Charlie David – Vice President, Jim Fleming – Treasurer, and Dave Testa – Secretary. New Business: Andy Voulo requested that a vase be purchased for the Dick Loughrey memorial rock, as he had witnessed Pat Loughrey having to lay a memorial flower on the ground. After discussion and approval, funds were put aside to purchase a brass vase. Bob Wiegand will take care of its procurement. Incoming President Ken Wenz addressed the membership regarding the New Year, he asked that all committee heads & members to stay on with their duties, and also that the sponsors of our events to remain also. He then stated that the reputation of the Woodworkers had been tarnished by the events that occurred in the last few months and requested that we try to get back to a more harmonious atmosphere. Ken informed the membership that if you were not happy with the Woodworkers organization to just not pay your dues next year and do not return On a motion by Andy Vuolo, seconded by Ken Wenz and agreement by all, the meeting was adjourned at 7:40pm.
